First mentioned in 1103 and remodelled in the 19th century, Egg Castle is one of the few completely preserved castle complexes in eastern Bavaria. Apart from the dungeon in the hunger tower, the rooms furnished in neo-Gothic style from 1838 to 1842 - including especially the banqueting halls, salons and castle chapel - are worth seeing.
