Walhalla (Valhalla)

The uplifting view over the Danube plain alone is worth climbing the 358 steps. King Ludwig I of Bavaria had the marble monument in Donaustauf built by his court architect Leo von Klenze in 1830. The memorial honours important personalities from Barbarossa to Goethe.
