Four important museums work together under one roof in the Pinakothek der Moderne (Modern Art Collection): the Sammlung Moderne Kunst der Bayerischen Staatsgemäldesammlungen (Modern Art Collection of the Bavarian State Painting Collections), Die Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum (The New Collection - The Design Museum at the Pinakothek der Moderne) and the Staatliche Graphische Sammlung München (State Collection of Prints and Drawings Munich in the Pinakothek der Moderne). This makes the Pinakothek der Moderne (Pinakothek of Modern Art) one of the world's largest houses for 20th and 21st century art, architecture and design.The architecture of the spacious building with its glass rotunda invites visitors to discover connections and gain new, surprising insights. Exhibitions and events from various cultural fields complete the interdisciplinary programme.
