Graphische Sammlung der FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg (Graphic Collection of the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg)
The graphic collection of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach with 1800 hand drawings, 4000 copperplate engravings and etchings as well as 1000 woodcuts from the Middle Ages to the Baroque has been part of the Universitätsbibliothek (University Library) since 1806. The most famous pieces include a self-portrait by Albrecht Dürer and one of the oldest city views of Nuremberg.
The Luthardt Collection with more than 1000 drawings and about 6000 prints from the 19th and early 20th centuries completes the holdings. The collection also includes part of the artistic estate of Cäcilie Graf-Pfaff.
