Burgmuseum Burg Pottenstein (Pottenstein Castle Museum)
Pottenstein Castle clings almost breakneck to the vertical cliff that gives it a wide view over the town and the surrounding countryside. Founded in the 10th century, it is the oldest castle in Franconian Switzerland. Parts of the privately owned and still inhabited buildings can now be visited as a museum. These include the palace with three completely furnished showrooms, militaria and exhibitions on the tithe system and the castle's history. One room commemorates Saint Elisabeth of Thuringia, who stayed at the castle for some time in 1228.
