The pilgrimage to Our Lady of Neukirchen b. Hl. Blut is one of the most important Marian pilgrimages in Bavaria. From the rich treasures of the archives of the pilgrimage church, a special museum on the subject of pilgrimage was set up in the former Nursing Castle on the market square. In addition to objects on popular piety and on pilgrimage processes and customs in general, the museum documents above all the history of the Neukirchen pilgrimage and its influence on local trade: devotional trade, rosary production, wax goods, carving and hospitality. The nationally important Neukirchen reverse painting on glass is represented by numerous originals. The museum also takes into account the many connections to neighbouring Bohemia, in keeping with the motto "pilgrimage and culture without borders".
