Copper - Art - Culture. In the cultural history of mankind, copper is the first metal from which weapons, utensils and jewellery were made ("Copper Age", from about 3700 BC). In over 50 years of collecting, art dealer Siegfried Kuhnke has put together a unique collection of works of art and utensils from early history to Art Deco. In addition to prehistoric finds and sacred objects from the late Middle Ages, the exhibition mainly shows Central European utensils from the 17th to 19th centuries. The magnificent models for jellies, pies and desserts are unique here. Thematic paintings and graphic art as well as sculptures complement the copper show.
