ZEIT+RAUM Museum (ZEIT+RAUM Museum)
Visitors can explore Germering's pre- and early history in the ZEIT+RAUM Museum (ZEIT+RAUM Museum). The region on the edge of the Munich gravel plain is rich in archaeological finds. With selected pieces, from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages, the permanent exhibition traces the complex and continuous history of settlement in the west of Munich. In addition to vessels from the Neolithic Bell Beaker Culture (ca. 2550-2000 B.C.), the exhibition includes grave goods from early medieval tombs dating from the 6th to 8th centuries. The museum is the starting point for information panels and museum units distributed throughout the city, which, such as a Roman brick kiln, focus on selected epochs at the site of the find.
