Volkskundliches Gerätemuseum (Folklore utensil museum)
Authentic living situations from daily life and work in the Fichtelgebirge in the 19th and 20th centuries await visitors to the Folklore utensil museum. With the exception of an old stable and a rock cellar, the farmhouse was rebuilt in the first half of the 20th century. The stencil painting of the 1920s, with which all rooms in the residential building and even the floor of the parlour are decorated, is exceptional in scope and quality.
The museum's utensil department presents parts of the rich collection of the Fichtelgebirgsverein (approx. 18,000 objects). The main focus is on agricultural, handicraft and transport equipment.
The "Weiß'sche Krippe" (White's Nativity), an impressive and figurative landscape nativity scene from the region, is on display in the attic.
