The Sudeten German Museum (Sudeten German Museum) is the first central national museum of the Sudeten Germans. Under the guiding concept of "Homeland", it tells the story of the Germans in Bohemia, Moravia and Sudeten Silesia. "Heimat!" - with an exclamation mark - conveys an idea of the cultural, religious and economic world of life before 1945. Under the title "The End of the Self-Evident", the exhibition follows the political and social developments up to the catastrophe of war and expulsion. "Home?" - now with a question mark - depicts the arduous new beginning and integration. The permanent exhibition spans 1,000 years of history, presented in around 1,000 objects on 1,000 m² of exhibition space.
