Holztechnisches Museum (Wood Technology Museum)
Before the "plastic age", wood was irreplaceable in its versatility both for personal use and for the development of crafts and industry. In the Holztechnisches Museum (Wood Technology Museum) in the late medieval "Ellmaierhaus", original pieces, scale and functional models and extensive collections of tools provide information about old and modern woodworking and processing techniques. It gives a vivid impression of the versatility of wood as a raw material and, above all, of the efficiency of craftsmen and engineers specialising in wood processing.
