Fabrikmuseum der Leonischen Industrie (Factory Museum of the Leonian Industry)
The finest metal threads, woven into spun, woven, braided and woven fabrics: these are Leonese goods. Introduced by immigrant Huguenots from Lyon (hence "leonish"), they have been produced in Roth since 1590 and played a major role in the industrialisation of the town. around 1920, the work was carried out by huge, clattering machines, which one would not believe capable of such fineness. They can be marvelled at in the factory museum, which provides a comprehensive picture of the production and distribution of Leonese goods at the beginning of the 20th century, from the roughly drawn wire to the packaging of the finished product. It also illustrates the working conditions of the time and the technical changes from steam to electric power. Numerous machines are put into operation during the guided tours - an impressive experience.
