No one can escape the magic of these children: Shortly after the world premiere in 1935, it is said that every second German household owned a Hummel figurine, and the American "M. I. Hummel Club" still has over 100,000 members today.

However, the museum in her birthplace in Massing shows that the skills of the artist Maria Innocentia (Berta) Hummel (1909-1946) went far beyond drawing cute children's figures. In addition to original living rooms and interesting facts about the life of the nun, visitors will find works from Hummel's extensive artistic oeuvre, which is presented in temporary exhibitions.

But of course, her trademark is not to be missed: The museum can draw from the world's most extensive private collection of Hummel figurines and continuously displays changing parts of this rich fund.
