Carl-Hirnbein-Museum (Carl Hirnbein Museum)
Notwender, Zwingherr, Alpkönig: these terms aptly describe the life and work of Carl Hirnbein (1807-1871), who was born in Wilhams. The large farmer and politician made a name for himself above all as an agricultural reformer, as he was instrumental in the reorientation of the Allgäu from poor farming to successful dairy farming. In addition, he was one of the pioneers of Alpine tourism with the construction of the first mountain hotel in the Allgäu.
