It is one of the last of what used to be hundreds in the Upper Palatinate. And this hammer mill from 1823 also had to close in 1926. Today, as a branch of the Further Landestormuseum, the forge is glowing again and the two huge iron hammers weighing 123 kg show what water power is capable of moving. An exhibition of forged products and documents on the history of the hammer mill complements the forging demonstrations.
