Städtische Galerie im Leeren Beutel (Municipal Gallery in the Empty Bag)
The curious name does not suggest it, but the "Empty Bag" is a stately building - and well filled: The former granary from the 16th/17th century now serves as a municipal gallery. The collection presents a panorama of 20th-century art, particularly from eastern Bavaria. Among the artists on display are Josef Achmann, Kurt v. Unruh, Xaver Fuhr and Otto Baumann as well as members of the SPUR group and their circle. Works by the younger generation form an interesting dialogue with this.
