Stadtmuseum Weiden mit Max-Reger-Sammlung (City museum Weiden with Max Reger collection)
In the "Old Schoolhouse", a mighty 16th century box building, the Weiden Town Museum displays its collection, some of which dates back to 1896. It covers various topics of the town's history, such as objects "from churches and chapels" or craftsmanship in Weiden. Staged rooms, such as the living quarters of a craftsman's family including a black kitchen or Biedermeier and Rococo rooms, give an impression of life in Weiden in the past, while two memorial rooms with memorabilia are dedicated to the composer Max Reger (1873-1916), including the piano and the musician's death mask.
