Schlossmuseum Ismaning (Ismaning Castle Museum)
The former hunting and summer residence of the Freising prince-bishops now houses the Schlossmuseum Ismaning (Ismaning Castle Museum). The museum invites visitors to explore the history of the castle. It is dedicated to the history of the Beauharnais-Leuchtenberg family, which is brought to life by means of private memorabilia, clothing from the Leuchtenberg period and the portrait and miniature collection. In addition, the development of Ismaning after 1900 is illuminated. Particularly impressive is an almost 10 m² model of the old Ismanig railway station. The exhibition in the old sawmill of the Seidl-Mühle culture and education centre is also run by the Schlossmuseum.
