Oberpfälzer Handwerksmuseum (Upper Palatinate Craft Museum)
An impressive class 64 steam locomotive from 1934 welcomes visitors to the museum grounds located directly on Lake Eixendorf. In the museum itself, 20 crafts from the transitional period from manual labour to mechanisation and industrialisation are shown in true-to-the-original workshops, such as bakers, printers, saddlers or shoemakers. Another building houses a steam sawmill that operated until the 1960s; for comparison, you can see a cutting saw powered by water power right next door. In addition, a hammer mill from the 15th century, which used to stand near Seebarn in today's reservoir area, was saved from the water floods and rebuilt on the museum grounds. Finally, the "Salzfriedlhof" is a typical log cabin built in the forest.
