Things move here! Bobbing steamers, model railways or "Lona, the wire rope wonder" are just some of the rarities in the toy museum of the museum in the Heimathaus. The city museum's collections range from prehistory and early history to modern times. The main focus is on the economic life of the town with the areas of salt works and crafts, but paintings, sacred art, diverse evidence of popular beliefs and the bourgeois and rural culture of Chiemgau are also on display. The section with portrait painting from the Baroque to the Biedermeier period is also interesting, as here you can meet many Traunstein faces from the past.
