Museum Berching
The life and work of the town's most important son, the opera composer and reformer Christoph Willibald Gluck (1714-1787), are a focus of the Berching Museum of Local History. In a multimedia presentation, Gluck's life, which took him through half of Europe, is illustrated and traced with numerous musical examples. In addition, the museum shows an extensive collection of peasant furniture, mainly from the western Upper Palatinate, from the period 1700 to 1880 and numerous utensils from peasant and rural bourgeois everyday life.
