Höhlenmuseum mit Dorfmuseum (Cave museum with village museum)
The "Laubenstein" area in the western Chiemgau Alps is a special landscape with its multitude of karst formations and caves. The cave museum is dedicated to these geological phenomena and offers information about karst formations and caves with their fauna, but also about cave research and rescue.
The village museum deals with local history such as the construction of the motorway, the Frasdorf local railway, the Acherting clay works, Wildenwart castle and manor, ski production, school history, the folk musician Wastl Fanderl, the Frasdorf "water drinker" Maria Furtner as well as the topic of "farmer's wifes and alpine dairymaids".
