The skeleton of a 145-million-year-old marine crocodile found in a local quarry is the centrepiece of the local history museum founded in 1923. In addition to fossils, the presentation includes the pre- and protohistoric settlement of the area around Ebermannstadt, town history, everyday culture and handicrafts as well as the life and work of the sculptor Friedrich Theiler (1748-1826).
