As a research and documentation centre, the Deutsches Spielearchiv Nürnberg (German Games Archive Nuremberg) preserves a unique collection of over 30,000 board games from 1945 to the present day. In addition to its core documentary tasks, the Games Archive also promotes games in families and society. With numerous events, such as regular games afternoons and programmes outside the museum, it actively promotes games as a cultural asset and games themselves.
