Bubenreutheum (Instrument Manufacture Museum Bubenreuth)
A small Franconian community wrote music history. World-famous musicians such as Elvis, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones or Yehudi Menuhin all played on instruments from Bubenreuth in the course of their careers. In the post-war period, the rural village had risen to become the European metropolis of stringed instrument making. This was due to the willingness of 500 locals to give 2000 instrument makers from the Sudetenland a new home. A special kind of music museum was created here, which is continually being expanded: the Bubenreutheum (Bubenreutheum). Musical instruments, texts, pictures and, above all, musical examples enable a journey through the development of the various musical styles of the 20th century and also tell the story of flight, expulsion and successful integration in the post-war period.
