"Today I bake, tomorrow I brew ..." Baking and brewing are not only closely linked in fairy tales, as the Bakery Museum in the immediate neighbourhood of the Brewery Museum shows. From the seed to the bakery and from ancient Egypt to the here and now, the excursion takes you through the history of bread and the bakery trade. A 17th century bakery and a three-storey mill are just as much a part of it as traditional baked goods, the position of the baker in society and the causes of famine. A small demonstration bakery ensures that no visitor has to leave the museum hungry.
