Almost 1300 years of Kitzingen's town history and the settlement of the region going back to the Palaeolithic Age are two main themes in this museum of local history, which has been in existence since 1895 and now has a modern design. In another area of the 650 m² exhibition, everything revolves around alchemy and its basics, starting from the person of the chemist and pharmacist Rudolph Glauber. The historical Rüdenhausen castle pharmacy with substances from the 19th century provides a fitting backdrop.
