Stadtmuseum Forchheim (City Museum Forchheim)

History you can touch instead of dusty showcases is the motto of the Stadtmuseum Forchheim (City Museum Forchheim). Nine "cityscapes" - stagings, models, films and radio plays, but also original exhibits - enable an exciting walk through 1200 years of Forchheim. The town in the Middle Ages, industrialisation in the 19th century and the National Socialist era are just as much topics as the "corner shop" or Forchheim as a film set for international cinema in the post-war period. A separate section is dedicated to the life and work of the Forchheim painter Georg Mayer-Franken (1870-1926).
