Römisches Museum für Kur- und Badewesen (Roman Museum of Spa and Baths)
Under the nave of the church of St. Andreas in the centre of Bad Gögging lies the central basin of one of the largest Roman baths north of the Alps. In today's "Römisches Museum für Kur- und Badewesen" (Roman Museum of Spa and Baths), you can see parts of this oldest Roman spa in Bavaria: the main bathing room with a central basin, four individual tubs, bathing utensils and the underfloor heating (hypocaust heating). The excavations showed: the Romans already used the health-promoting effect of the sulphur water and thus laid the foundation for today's modern spa and bathing facilities in Bad Gögging.
