Women's Room and Roman Cabinet: what sounds like an unusual shared apartment is actually two permanent exhibitions under one roof. "Frauen-Zimmer. Lebensstationen in einer fränkischen Kleinstadt" gives a socio-historical insight into women's lives from 1850 to 1950. The "Römerkabinett" (Roman Cabinet) informs - also virtually - about the former Roman double legion camp on the Kapellenberg and the life of the legionaries. The museum is housed in the landmark of Marktbreit: the "Malerwinkelhaus" dating back to the 17th century, which more than lives up to its name with its half-timbering and picturesque location on the Breitenbach.
