Magnificent clocks from the 17th to 19th centuries, when Friedberg was an important clock-making town throughout Europe, and the Friedberg faiences are just two of the highlights of the museum, which has been housed in the Wittelsbach Castle (Museum im Wittelsbach Castle) since 1886. Other sections are devoted to the history of the castle and the town, as well as to archaeology with important finds complexes. There are also sections on the three pilgrimage churches in Friedberg and on modern Friedberg art.
