Who wouldn't want to design the cover of a magazine with AI, get to know an Egyptian burial chamber or send something by pneumatic tube? At the Museum of Communication in Nuremberg, the history of communication and its current functional mechanisms can be experienced and understood using many objects, hands-on stations and media stations. In four themed rooms, the focus is on people and their communication with sounds, images, writing and Web 2.0. In 2023, the "How does news get into the world?" area was newly designed on the topics of journalism and media. Special exhibitions will shed light on important questions relating to communication and digitality. There are special guided tours, hands-on activities and holiday programmes for families. Another attraction are the stagecoach rides that take visitors through the Knoblauchsland region outside the city gates in summer. During the Christmas market, the carriages travel through the festively decorated old town of Sebald. Events and guided tours such as the "Data Tuesday" on data protection issues or the online express tour as well as educational museum programmes with a special focus on the topic of "media literacy and education" complete the offer.
