The great "innovations in prehistory" and their impact on the lives of our ancestors are the focus of the permanent archaeological exhibition at Museum Altdorf (Museum Altdorf). How and why did they settle down? What happened when metalworking began? How did a new cultural area come into being? The museum uses archaeological finds from Altdorf (Museum Altdorf) to show what can be gleaned from the legacies of the last millennia. In keeping with this, there is a varied educational programme for children and adults on changing themes from prehistory to the Middle Ages.
