Lothringer 13 (Hall for International Contemporary Art)
Lothringer13 has established itself internationally as a platform for experimental contemporary art. As an art space of the city of Munich, the focus is on presenting young, innovative artistic formats. This takes the form of solo and group exhibitions, lectures, screenings and a diverse accompanying programme. Founded in 1980 as a place for creative processes in Haidhausen, Lothringer13 has been supported by the City of Munich's Department of Culture for over three decades.
Florida Lothringer 13 is located in the rear building of Lothringer Straße 13 in Munich and has the following facilities: a library, an archive for (counter) publics, a recording studio, 3D facilities, a cinema, the editorial offices of Florida magazine as well as work and residence facilities for invited artists. Florida Lothringer 13 is not a place of representation, but of artistic production. This takes place collectively and in collaborations with changing partners.
