Löhe-Zeit-Museum (Löhe Time Museum)
"Frankenmuther Gwaaf" is the title of a Franconian dictionary from Michigan (USA). The story behind this curiosity begins in Neuendettelsau, more precisely in the middle of the 19th century, when poverty in Franconia was great and numerous people sought their salvation in America. One of the few who supported this emigration movement was the active Neuendettelsau pastor Wilhelm Löhe (1808-1872). And so the museum about his life and work (among other things, he founded the Society for Inner and Outer Mission and the Deaconess Institution) is at the same time an emigration museum and a social history museum about the life of the lower classes of Franconia around 1850.
