KOENIGmuseum – Skulpturenmuseum im Hofberg (Fritz Koenig Sculpture Museum)

The artist Fritz Koenig, who was born in Würzburg and died in Landshut in 2017, is considered one of the most important sculptors of our time and his works are represented in the world's major museums. The KOENIGmuseum presents his work - sculptures, graphics and preliminary studies - in changing exhibitions. An important part of the museum is Koenig's collection of African art, which had a strong influence on his work. The museum's branch in the Cistercian abbey of Seligenthal presents works with sacred content.
