The origins of the Dinkelsbühl "Kinderzeche" date back to the 17th century, and since 1897 this custom has been presented as part of an annual festival. In the Kinderzech'-Zeughaus (Children's Zeche), the costumes, weapons and floats of the festival illustrate the special significance of this festival as a piece of Dinkelsbühl's local culture.
