John-Bauer-Museum (John Bauer Museum)
The museum provides an insight into the life and work of John Bauer. On the ground floor is a fairytale world with trolls, gnomes, a media station, puzzles and costumes. The upper floor features pictures and texts about the artist's life, his typical figures and his entire oeuvre. For kindergarten groups and primary school classes, the museum team offers special guided tours with various activities such as fairy tale readings and various craft activities. The "Troll-ige Riedelgrube" is adjacent to the John Bauer Museum. Today's biotope was created on the former brickworks site of the Riedelbau company, which gave the Riedelgrube its name. From 1969, nature reclaimed the habitat. Various plant species characterise the development from an industrial area to a habitat worthy of protection. Numerous birds, insects and reptiles are also at home here.
