The exhibition in the Heimatmuseum Simbach (Museum of local history Simbach) shows traditional cultural assets from various areas such as navigation on the Inn and fishing, civic and rural life, religious devotion, furniture and traditional costumes. Early industrialisation is also part of the collection, as are trade and transport, and the Heimatmuseum Simbach (Museum of local history Simbach) has set itself the goal of making the work of the Simbach painter Josef Karl Nerud, an honorary citizen of the town, permanently accessible to the public. Original paintings (drawings, watercolours, oil paintings, reverse glass paintings) from all important creative periods are on display in the new gallery.
