The site of the Heimatmuseum Sauerlach (Museum of local history Sauerlach) is located in the core of the listed street village ensemble "Holzkirchener Straße" in the Sauerlach district of Arget. Around a vicarage from 1682, a single ridge farm with living quarters and a farm, there is a former vicarage barn with a wooden post and beam construction ("Bundwerkstadl") and a two-storey block building of a "Troadkasten" (granary) from 1667. The buildings house a collection of agricultural equipment as well as clothing, books, documents, photographic records and furniture from the region around Sauerlach.
