The Heimatmuseum Dorfen (Museum of local history Dorfen) shows numerous aspects of local history, from the Stone Age to the present day. The Dorfen pilgrimage and the former local railway line are just as much topics as crafts and living in earlier times. A separate section is dedicated to the Dorfen authors Josef Martin Bauer and Rudolf Kirmeyer as well as the local historian Father Josef Gammel.
