Heimatmuseum der Stadt Moosburg a. d. Isar (Museum of local history of the town of Moosburg a. d. Isar)
The Heimatmuseum der Stadt Moosburg a. d. Isar (Municipal Museum of local history of the town of Moosburg a. d. Isar) shows an extensive collection from prehistoric times to modern times. The first considerations regarding a municipal museum date back to 1918. However, it was not until 1937 that two rooms in the town hall were made available. After being looted at the end of the war in 1945, the museum was reopened in 1958 thanks to the tireless commitment of historian August Alckens. Since 1975, the exhibits have been shown in the rooms of the monastery school built in 1866.
