Mining is only one topic in the rooms of the former monastery in Erbendorf. In addition to equipment, mine plans and photographs of the mine, which was closed in 1929, the Museum of local history and mining (Heimat- und Bergbaumuseum) shows interesting facts from Erbendorf's history, e.g. about crafts, trade or the railway era. An important economic pillar was and is the porcelain industry, which is presented in the exhibition as well as an extensive rock collection.
