Old meets new: Palais Stutterheim, built in 1730, houses the Kunstpalais on two floors, which specialises in contemporary art and art education. Relevant positions of the international art scene and their conceptual references to literature, philosophy and film are the focus here.The Kunstpalais also includes the Erlangen Municipal Collection (Erlangen Art Palace). It comprises well over 4,500 important graphics, multiples, artists' books and portfolios and reflects important trends in international art after 1945.
