"Art is free when it does not have to serve or please, when it does not have to bow to the logic of the market or serve a political cause, religion or ideology." With these words, the Kunstverein describes its mission statement. This open free attitude is also reflected in the clear bright exhibition space: the DG Kunstraum Diskurs Gegenwart (DG Art Space Discourse Contemporary) sees itself as a forum for a lively dialogue between art and church, for a creative exchange of ideas with visual art, but also architecture, music, theology and philosophy as resources. It is a place where an open discourse between man and the world is to be stimulated through the encounter of different currents of thought.
