: What actually happens in the museum at night?
Saturday, 28 November 2026, 19:00 - 20:30
A guided tour of the museum at night with torches, for children aged 6–9
Location: Archäologisches Museum der Stadt Kelheim (Archaeological Museum of the City of Kelheim)
Every child dreams at least once in their life of seeing what happens in the museum at night. Even a Hollywood film has tackled this very question. But what really happens in the museum once the visitors have left and the staff have switched off the lights? On 28 November, children can find out exactly that. Does the skeleton in the Stone Age display case really turn over every night, or is that just a myth? Armed with torches, the children will wander through the museum on this guided tour led by Hetty Stange, exploring even the darkest corners of the exhibitions for themselves.
Suitable for children aged 6 to 9. Booking is required by Thursday 26 November 2026 on 09441/10409 or at info@archaeologisches-museum-kelheim.de.
Contribution towards costs: €5 per child plus admission fees. Please bring a torch. (In response to enquiries: parents are of course welcome to accompany their children.)
