: What actually happens in the museum at night?
Saturday, 28 November 2026, 19:00 - 20:30
An interactive night-time activity using torches for children aged 10 to 12
Location: Archäologisches Museum der Stadt Kelheim (Archaeological Museum of the City of Kelheim)
Every child dreams at least once in their life of seeing what happens in the museum at night. Even a Hollywood film has tackled this very question. But what really happens in the museum once the visitors have left and the staff have turned off the lights? On Saturday, 28 November, children can find out exactly that. Does the skeleton in the Stone Age display case really turn over every night, or is that just a myth? Armed with torches, the children will roam the museum in this interactive programme by Frank Späth, exploring even the darkest corners of the exhibitions for themselves.
Suitable for children aged 10 to 12. Registration is required by Thursday 26 November 2026 on 09441/10492 or at info@archaeologisches-museum-kelheim.de.
Contribution towards costs: €8 per child plus admission. Please bring a torch.
