: Glentleitner Parish Fair
Sunday, 18 October 2026, 10:00 - 17:00
Let's go – there's a big market today!
Look forward to lots of colourful market stalls offering traditional Upper Bavarian specialities and rarities; hop on the Kirtahutschn and have a quiet game of skittles.
Enjoy traditional church fair specialities such as fresh Auszogne cooked over an open fire and roast duck, as well as Rahmfleckerl and many other delicacies. You can also listen to various folk music groups. And, of course, no church fair would be complete without a Kirtatanz! Do pop in, have a look around – and why not have a go at dancing yourself in the Jackl-Stadel?
Anyone interested in traditional crafts can watch the weaver, the whetstone-maker, the spinner, the blacksmith and the chair-weaver at work. The historic bakehouse is filled with the wonderful aroma of fresh wood-fired bread, which master baker Luidl will be baking several times on Sunday.
All in all: the perfect setting for a lovely, lively autumn day at the museum!
Should the car parks at the museum prove insufficient, we have organised a shuttle bus service running every quarter of an hour from Schwaiganger. This service is free of charge!
And: we’ll be celebrating the parish fair again on Monday too!
For registration or further information about this event, please contact the organising museums directly.
