: The way to the heart is through the stomach
Wednesday, 17 February 2027, 14:00 - 15:45
A culinary journey through time for couples this Valentine’s Day
Location: Archäologisches Museum der Stadt Kelheim (Archaeological Museum of the City of Kelheim)
As we all know, the way to the heart is through the stomach. And that’s probably been the case for a long time: doesn’t the kiss actually stem from the act of feeding? Hunters and gatherers, the first herders and farmers. Presumably, ever since ancient times, gifts of food and invitations to dine together have been a token of love. And what on earth did they eat? On Valentine’s Day, museum director Bernd Sorcan takes both new and long-standing lovers on a more or less culinary journey through time. And for those who particularly enjoyed the experience – a little surprise awaits you at the end!
