The Bärnau-Tachov History Park invites you on a journey back in time to life in the 9th to 13th centuries. On a tour, you will wander through a reconstructed early medieval Slavic village, climb a tower hill castle of the 11th century and finally reach a high medieval settlement. The houses themselves are replicas using original materials and techniques, and craft demonstrations, hands-on courses and the re-enactment/re-enactment of medieval living situations make it possible to experience the everyday lives of our ancestors. As the site is constantly growing, it is possible to look over the shoulders of the craftsmen as they build more houses.
